Over July 20,2025, Akello Joyce, a passionate refugee media trainer from Bweyale, led an impactful two-day training session for refugee women and girls in Adjumani under the #ASKnet project.
Through her guidance, participants learned how to use media tools for storytelling, build digital confidence, and speak out on pressing issues affecting their communities.
From crafting their own stories to becoming confident public speakers, Joyce AKELLO helped ignite a powerful shiftâamplifying the voices of women and girls who are ready to lead change.
This training is just the beginning of a broader movement to transform media spaces in refugee settings.
