About me
Denaya Dennis has more than 10 years of experience in the tech industry. He is the founder and Executive Director of Koneta Hub, an innovation led organization that is championing digital inclusion and rights programs, Incubation and SGDs solutions, working with youth and vulnerable communities in South Sudan. He uses the approaches of Human centered design in providing community driven solutions and believes in the power of innovation as a vehicle to sustainable development. He is a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow at the University of Notre Dame in the Leadership in Business track. A co-founder of Alela Technologies, a tech firm providing digital solutions and services to organizations and parastatal in South Sudan. Denaya is a teaching assistant at the School of Computing, University of Juba. He is a founding member of the Internet Society, South Sudan Chapter and the South Sudan Internet Governance Forum. He has spoken and facilitated workshops in several tech events and championed conversations on Digital Inclusion, cyber security and tech related policies. Denaya credits the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, which he received in 2019, with teaching him that success is not earned while sleeping, but by hard work as an entrepreneur.
